Address: Havnegata 24, 9600 Skjervøy
Are you ready for a cruise in the amazing winter fjords of Northern Norway?
From late October to end of January some of the world’s biggest mammals visit the coast outside Skjervøy to feed on herrings.
The most common whale species we see are the humpback whale, killer whale (orca) and harbour porpoise, and sometimes even the fin whale. You are invited to come on board to take a close-up look at the feast.
We offer day trips out from Skjervøy. Sailing out to the areas where they feed, we will slow down or stop the boat, dipping in the arctic waters, enjoying the arctic nature where you can see and feel why it is called the arctic. Or maybe you want to enjoy the scenario from our onboard Jacuzzi?
The boat is a former fishing vessel turned in to an expedition ship, with ice class. We can take up to 12 guests, and have an experienced guide and crew.
Please note that whale sightings cannot be guaranteed, as a consequence of weather conditions and whales natural behaviour. The arctic weather forces are an unpredictable force that can change quickly and wild animals behaviors are affected by weather, food recourses, temperature and undiscovered causes. Due to these changes the tour can be amended at short notice. This can make the route, duration and destinations different from day to day.
